International Unit
KEC has its own international unit for conducting different research endeavors and project activities aimed at motivating students and faculty members via the use of cutting-edge technology.
Research and Development
On January 1, 2013, the Office of KEC Research and Publications (OKRP) was established with the help of a dedicated staff. The OKRP’s major goal is to promote research and writing among KEC academics and students. The office is made up of a Research Advisor, many Research Coordinators, and Editors.
It intends to investigate research-based educational methods through research, seminars, and presentations, as well as the ongoing production of research publications. On July 6, 2013, the office released its first official publication, the “KEC Journal of Science and Engineering” (KJSE). This publication is a collaboration between the faculties of the college’s many departments, including the Departments of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
The journal’s major goal is to encourage the extension, further development, and dissemination of information in science and engineering for the benefit of academics. It also serves the objective of encouraging and implementing R&D-based firms.
Yog and Discipline
KEC values and expects discipline from its pupils. We practice mandatory yoga sessions that comprise Asanas, Pranayama, Yog-Nidra, and Meditation to establish discipline (physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually) in them. We have a full-time yoga specialist on staff for this.
Our experience reveals that yoga has instilled in our students and faculty members positive attitude, the importance of hard effort and patience, as well as strong recall power. Aside from these advantages, yoga sessions have assisted students in improving their physical health and dealing with issues such as neck and back discomfort, vision difficulties, and sleeplessness.
Microsoft Students Partners
Microsoft has been active in various ways with the college and its students over the past three years. Since its inception, it has appointed Microsoft Student Partners (MSPs) at the college. MSPs serve as a link between the college and Microsoft. On a regular basis, various trainings are offered, and these have shown to be useful to students.
Microsoft’s most major direct contribution to KEC is the free distribution of Genuine Software. The majority of us are unconcerned about the implications of using pirated software, and we lack the financial resources to maintain all of the real software that we use. Microsoft’s method has enabled everyone to obtain legitimate software worth tens of thousands of rupees for free.
The establishment of a students’ technology club encourages other students to arrange IT-related events. All students, new and old, as well as alumni, are entitled to a username through MSPs, which assist in logging onto the main server for valid keys to all Microsoft products. Aside from software distribution and training, numerous additional activities are held on a regular basis to assist students grasp the different technological advancements that are taking place in the globe. Several national and international speakers lead discussion events at our campus on a regular basis.
