Admission / Eligibility

BBA

Candidate must have passed the Grade 12 Examination with a minimum GPA of 1.8 with at least a D grade in each subject in Grade 11 and Grade 12. Or
Completed Higher Secondary or Intermediate Examination with Minimum Second Division

BCA

Candidates must have passed the NEB Class 12 examination or an equivalent level test from a recognized academic institution.
Candidates must have completed a course (at least 100 full marks or 5 credits) in Mathematics (Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Applied Mathematics) or Computer Science/Computer Application in a NEB or comparable SLCE (class 11 or class 12) examination.
Candidates must have a minimum of 45% or a CGPA/GPA of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0) and at least Grade C (or Grade D in the case of A-level) or 45% in Mathematics/Computer Science. Other courses do not have a minimum threshold of Grade C (in the case of A level, Grade D) or 45%.

BE

Candidates must have passed the NEB Class 12 examination or an equivalent level test from a recognized academic institution.
Candidates must have completed at least one course in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (with at least 100 full marks or 5 credits).
Candidates must have a minimum of 45% or a CGPA/GPA of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0) and at least Grade C (or Grade D in the case of A-level) or 45% in each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).

MCIS

BIT/BCA/BCIS/BIM or equivalent (with a minimum 2.0 CGPA or Second Division) from a Pokhara University-accredited university.

ME

Candidates holding a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a 2.0/4 CGPA (in second division) or higher from universities recognized by Pokhara University are deemed eligible for admission to the M. Sc. CE program.

MSc

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline of engineering, computer science, or B. Sc. (Physics/Statistics/Math) with a 2.0/4 CGPA (in second division) or higher from universities recognized by Pokhara University are eligible to apply.

Scholarship

Pokhara University Scholarship

According to Pokhara University rules, the college awards scholarships to qualified students. Scholarships in this category are awarded to 10% of the annual student intake.

NCIT Scholarships

The College awards scholarships based on the student’s combined +2/equivalent and NCIT Entrance Test scores.

Performance Scholarships

Students who obtain an SGPA of 4 in any semester receive full scholarships (no semester fees) for the next semester.

NCIT additionally rewards students who rank first or second in their class.

Applicants should have a minimum grade of ‘C’ (1.8 GPA) in all subjects of grades 11 and 12 with a CGPA of 2.41 and must have talked Business Mathematics as a compulsory requirement. Or,
A minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in any discipline.
You should score a minimum of 40 marks in the CMAT entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University.

BBS / BIM

About the College of Applied Business and Technology

Applied Business and Technology College Formerly known as the College of Applied Business (CAB), it was established in 1998 by a group of seasoned educators and business experts. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to excellence. It is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and provides courses like BSc. CSIT, BCA, BBA, BBS, and BIM.

According to the college, having highly skilled and competent labor is a requirement for the country’s overall development. Additionally, students who are well-educated, have high moral standards and possess in-depth topic knowledge will be more respected by society. Additionally, it will be simpler for them to continue their study at reputable educational institutions.

CAB has implemented appropriate modules and techniques in the teaching curricula to ensure that students are competent in their disciplines. Seminars, research, and industry observation visits, which are frequent components of the College, have proven extremely effective in improving students’ knowledge and personalities.

Furthermore, CAB’s methodologies have been adequately justified by its pupils’ persistent high success rate in university final examinations.

Facilities

Cafeteria: A tiny but tidy restaurant supervised and run by the College will serve western-style lunch to students. A tomato cheese pizza, a cheeseburger, or a vegetable footlong will be on the menu.
Class Rooms: CAB classrooms are purpose-built to promote interactive learning. The classrooms are large, well-equipped, and light.
Library: CAB has a well-stocked reference library with a considerable number of course materials, reference books, professional journals, and research papers produced in the country. CAB is also transforming the library into a full-fledged documentation center in order to enhance research activity.
Sports & Recreation: Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, and other sports are available at CAB. Other leisure events will also take place in collaboration with Student Council.
Computing: CAB has three computer labs with a suitable number of computers. The facility is networked together.

Basic Information

Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) is a 4-year (year-based) course run by Tribhuvan University (TU)’s Faculty of Management (FOM). Currently, 680+ colleges all over Nepal are running this course.

The TU Faculty of Management (FOM)’s BBS program aims to develop students into competent managers for every sector of organized activity. The program is predicated on the premise that graduates will spend the majority of their lives in an ever-changing environment. As a result, the student should have the chance to gain a wide understanding of the principles and reality-based abilities that underpin organizational operation and management.

Students should be prepared to work as managers in business, industry, and government upon graduation. The graduate should also have a choice of professional options in many business areas, including entrepreneurship, and should be able to create much-needed jobs for others.

Program Objective

Provide students with the necessary conceptual knowledge of business and administration to help them acquire a general management viewpoint.
Develop in students the necessary attitudes, talents, and practical skills that will serve as a foundation for their development as competent and responsible company managers.
Encourage students’ entrepreneurial ability to help them become effective change agents in Nepalese society.
Develop the required basis for advanced management courses, and then pursue professions in teaching, research, and consulting.

Attendance, Evaluation, and Grading System

The annual examination held by the office of the Controller of Examinations, Tribhuvan University, serves as the ultimate evaluation of students. However, in order to qualify for the annual examinations, students must achieve the following requirements:

The student must attend at least 70% of the classes that are actually held.
Without appearing in the first-year final examination, students cannot appear in the second-year examination.

The grading system of TU BBS is as follows:

Methods of Instruction

Colleges that provide the BBS degree should use instructional approaches that prepare students for the reality of Nepalese business, industry, and government in which they will be working. As learning methodologies, a combination of lecturesGraduation Requirements, group discussions, problem-solving exercises, guest lectures, practical practice, and project work will be used. Campuses are also urged to adopt the case method of instruction whenever possible and when necessary.

Graduation Requirements

The BBS curriculum lasts four academic years and results in the awarding of a BBS degree upon completion. All BBS degree candidates must meet the following requirements:

Completing 19 courses worth 1950 marks and submitting a final project report worth 50 marks with passing grades in all courses.
Passing grades in all theoretical and practical components of the courses taken individually.
The completion of courses for the fulfillment of the BBS program must take place within the time limit set by Tribhuvan University.

Eligibility for Admission

The applicant for admission to the BBS program:

The salary depends upon your skill and experience. Just after your graduation, if you don’t have any experience, you will get a salary of around NPR 20,000 for at least a year. After you have gained some experience, you can expect at least NPR 30,000 for at least 2-3 Years.

With 4-5 Years of experience in a certain field, BBS students can easily make over NPR 50,000 if they utilize their skills properly.

Basic Information

Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) is a 4-year (semester-based) course run by Tribhuvan University (TU)’s Faculty of Management (FOM). Currently, 50+ colleges all over Nepal are running this course.

The BBM program at Tribhuvan University’s Faculty of Management is an industry-based management program that teaches students to develop critical and analytical abilities and an in-depth understanding of various facets of the business. It cultivates talents such as entrepreneurship, interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities, which aid graduates in obtaining better work chances and advancing their careers.

As a result, it is intended for future company leaders and managers. BBM graduates have the knowledge, abilities, and self-confidence to help with effective and successful management in a continuously changing and highly competitive national and worldwide business environment. This course was created to develop middle-level managing personnel in the sectoral sectors.

Teaching Pedagogy

The student-centered learning method is at the heart of the BBM program. The program’s general teaching technique comprises interactive lectures, student presentations, case studies, and projects. The relevant teaching-learning approaches for each subject must be determined by the teaching faculty.

Program Objective

The TU BBM program is created with the following goals in mind:

Improve students’ creative thinking, decision-making, leadership, and communication abilities, as well as their understanding of operations and change.
Develop students’ understanding of entrepreneurship and creativity, as well as competent company management in a dynamic business environment.
Prepare students for a professional career as a business manager or entrepreneur.

Eligibility for Admission

Candidates applying for admission to the TU BBM program must have:

Completed twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
Minimum D+ in each subject in grades 11 and 12 with a CGPA of 1.80 or higher / Attained at least second division in the 10+2, PCL, or comparable program; and
Completed the entire application process.

Admission Criteria

Written Test: The admission exam known as the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT), which is administered by the Faculty of Management, must be taken by eligible applicants. The test will be conducted according to international testing norms and guidelines. It covers things like Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning, and General awareness.

The CMAT will consist of one hundred (100) objective questions, twenty-five (25) of which will be in each part and carry a total score of one hundred (100). For the CMAT, the student needs to receive at least a 40% score in order to be eligible for the interview.

Interview

Short-listed candidates will have scores in the CMAT above the cutoff. Interviews and selection for admission will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates.

The salary depends upon your skill and experience. Just after your graduation, if you don’t have any experience, you will get a salary of around NPR 25,000 for a few months. After you have gained some experience, you can expect at least NPR 50,000 for at least 2-3 Years.

With 4-5 Years of experience in a certain field, BBM students can easily make over NPR 1 Lakhs if they utilize their skills properly.

Admission Procedure

To get admitted to Khwopa College of Engineering, you need to pass the entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Engineering (IOE). Only passing the entrance exam doesn’t guarantee you a seat in the college. You need to score and good mark to get your name on the merit list of the college.

Only students who have completed I.Sc. or +2 (Science) or Diploma in Engineering (3 Years) or equivalent, with a minimum of 45% of full marks.

Scholarship

Full scholarships are awarded to the applicants in each program who received the highest score on the admission exam and had scored at least 75% in +2 (Science), an I.Sc., or a diploma in engineering.

Also, they provide scholarships of 100%, 50%, and 25% based on the result of each semester’s exam result.
