Bachelor of Business Administration
In today’s fast-paced and continuously changing corporate environment, wannabe professionals need to have a strong foundation in business administration. The hub of Nepal’s academic success is Tribhuvan University (TU), a famous institution that has been awarding Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees.
It is the goal of Tribhuvan University’s (TU) BBA program to give students a comprehensive education in business management. The program gives students the information and skills they need to be successful in a variety of business management-related fields by fusing theoretical principles with real-world applications.
Basic Information
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a 4-year (semester-based) course run by Tribhuvan University (TU)’s Faculty of Management (FOM). As of now, there are 48 colleges all over Nepal running this course.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program seeks to educate students and equip them with the managerial skills necessary to launch a successful career in a company or public administration. They will be equipped with contemporary, impersonal skills and technical knowledge of current trends in international business, allowing them to assume leadership roles in domestic and international commercial organizations.
By merging the study of social sciences and humanities with the study of business and management, it is intended to provide students with a better and wider view of the world, society, business, and life. The program is based on four specific learning skills for anyone looking to enter the management field or expand their expertise.
This BBA curriculum will foster the good attitudes, aptitudes, and practical skills necessary for an effective and accountable manager. It will also serve as a springboard for management master’s degree courses.
Mission
The goal of FOM’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program is to create management professionals who are socially responsible, innovative, and goal-oriented to fill middle-level managerial roles in the quickly expanding business sector in Nepal and internationally.
Objective
- Educate students on how to assume middle management roles in the corporate world.
- Develop students’ object-oriented business management expertise so they can comprehend and come up with original solutions for real-world business issues.
- By combining computer and management information system courses, provide professional management education.
- Prepare students to continue their business administration postgraduate studies.
Eligibility for Admission
The candidate submitting an application for admission to the BBA program should have:
- Successfully completed a twelve-year education, or its equivalent, from a university, board, or other organization recognized by Tribhuvan University.
- Achieved at least second division in the 10+2, PCL, or comparable program, with a minimum D+ grade in each subject in grades 11 and 12 and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 1.80 or greater; and
- Followed all application requirements.
Admission Criteria
Written Test:
The admission exam known as the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT), which is administered by the Faculty of Management, must be taken by eligible applicants. The test will be conducted according to international testing norms and guidelines. It covers things like Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning, and General awareness.
The CMAT will consist of one hundred (100) objective questions, twenty-five (25) of which will be in each part and carry a total score of one hundred (100). For the CMAT, the student needs to receive at least a 40% score in order to be eligible for the interview.
Interview
Short-listed candidates will have scores in the CMAT above the cutoff. Interviews and selection for admission will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates.

Fee Structure
The Fee Structure of BBA varies between colleges. Normally, the constituent campuses of TU like Patan Multiple Campus, Birendra Multiple Campus, and a few others charge around 2.5-3 Lakhs. At the same time, the fee in private colleges is around 8 lakhs.

Additionally, BBA serves as a solid foundation for further education, enabling graduates to pursue advanced degrees and specialized fields of study.
Salary Prospects
The salary depends upon your skill and experience. Just after your graduation, if you don’t have any experience, you will get a salary of around NPR 25,000 for a few months. After you have gained some experience, you can expect at least NPR 50,000 for at least 2-3 Years.
With 4-5 Years of experience in a certain field, BBA students can easily make over NPR 1 Lakhs if they utilize their skills properly.
