Fee Structure
The fee structure varies between colleges. On average, the BBA fee in PU-affiliated college is around 7-8 Lakhs.
Attendance Requirement
Every lecture, tutorial, seminar, and practical class must be attended by the student. To account for late registration, illness, and other unforeseen circumstances, the attendance requirement will be a minimum of 80% of the classes actually held. If a student misses more than four weeks of class without authorization from the appropriate authorities, his or her name will be taken from the college roll.
Evaluation System
The academic achievement of a student in a course is evaluated in two stages:
Internally, by the relevant faculty member, via quizzes, tutorials, lab work, home assignments, class tests, class participation, term papers, formal internal examination, and so on.
Externally, through semester-end examinations administered by the Office of the Controller of Examinations. Each internal and external evaluation (semester-end examination) is given 50% weight. Internal and external evaluations must be passed independently by the learner. The final grade is given based on his/her overall performance in both internal and external evaluations.
If a student’s performance falls below the minimum standard, he or she will be marked as NOT QUALIFIED (NQ) in the internal evaluation. Such students will not be permitted to take that semester’s final examination.
Grading System
Pokhara University uses a letter grade system with four points. Students will be assigned the following letter grades:
Grade | Grade Point | Description |
A | 4.0 | Excellent |
A- | 3.7 | |
B+ | 3.3 | |
B | 3.0 | Good |
B- | 2.7 | |
C+ | 2.3 | |
C | 2.0 | Satisfactory |
C- | 1.7 | |
D+ | 1.3 | |
D | 1.0 | Minimum Requirement |
F | 0 | Fail |
Project Work
Students must complete an independent capstone project that includes fieldwork and empirical analysis. Finally, the students must create and submit a report on their work in the approved format to the authorized person/body. The goal of these project works is to help students improve their research skills, notably in data collecting, processing, analysis, and report writing. The relevant authority will assess these reports.
Internship
Students must complete an internship that has been approved by the college. The goal of an internship is to offer students real-life, on-the-job experience and the ability to apply theoretical principles in a practical setting. When determining internship placement decisions, the student’s interests and desired areas of concentration are considered.
Degree Requirement
A student should do the following in order to graduate:
- Get at least a ‘D’ in each course as specified in the grading system section,
- Complete the internship with a ‘Pass’ grade, and
- Complete all courses, project work, and internships as specified in the curricular structure section within the maximum time period specified in the duration of the study section,
