Master of Business Studies (MBS)
Basic Information
Master of Business Studies (MBS) is a 2-year (semester-based) course run by Tribhuvan University (TU)’s Faculty of Management (FOM).
Objectives
The MBS program’s goal is to prepare students to work as competent managers and to address the demand for higher-level managers in enterprises, particularly in management functional areas. After graduation, a student should be able to work as a business manager.
Accounting, marketing, finance, and general management are examples of skills used in industry, government, and non-government sectors both within and outside the country. The MBS program’s precise goals are as follows:
- Provide students with the necessary conceptual knowledge of business and management.
- Managers should be prepared in the functional areas of management.
- Develop knowledge and skills in the national and international business environments.
- Encourage students’ entrepreneurial ability to help them become effective change agents in Nepalese society.
- Students’ research abilities should be developed.
- Lay the groundwork for advanced study and research in the management field
Eligibility for Admission
Students applying for admission to the MBS program must have completed the BBS program or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from Tribhuvan University or any university recognized by Tribhuvan University.
Admission Procedure
Students applying for the MBS program must complete an application that includes all of their personal information as well as their previous academic records. The CMAT will be used to select pupils. The GMAT and GRE formats will be used for the exam. The admission test will focus on verbal and quantitative abilities, business and economics, and general awareness. The CMAT will consist of one hundred (100) questions, with 25 questions in each section. To be considered for admission, students must score at least 40% on the CMAT.
