Bachelor of Business Management

Tribhuvan University (TU), a well-known university providing Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) degrees in Nepal, is the epicenter of Nepal’s academic achievement.
Basic Information
Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) is a 4-year (semester-based) course run by Tribhuvan University (TU)’s Faculty of Management (FOM). Currently, 50+ colleges all over Nepal are running this course.
The BBM program at Tribhuvan University’s Faculty of Management is an industry-based management program that teaches students to develop critical and analytical abilities and an in-depth understanding of various facets of the business. It cultivates talents such as entrepreneurship, interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities, which aid graduates in obtaining better work chances and advancing their careers.
As a result, it is intended for future company leaders and managers. BBM graduates have the knowledge, abilities, and self-confidence to help with effective and successful management in a continuously changing and highly competitive national and worldwide business environment. This course was created to develop middle-level managing personnel in the sectoral sectors.
Teaching Pedagogy
The student-centered learning method is at the heart of the BBM program. The program’s general teaching technique comprises interactive lectures, student presentations, case studies, and projects. The relevant teaching-learning approaches for each subject must be determined by the teaching faculty.
Program Objective
The TU BBM program is created with the following goals in mind:
- Improve students’ creative thinking, decision-making, leadership, and communication abilities, as well as their understanding of operations and change.
- Develop students’ understanding of entrepreneurship and creativity, as well as competent company management in a dynamic business environment.
- Prepare students for a professional career as a business manager or entrepreneur.
Eligibility for Admission
Candidates applying for admission to the TU BBM program must have:
- Completed twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
- Minimum D+ in each subject in grades 11 and 12 with a CGPA of 1.80 or higher / Attained at least second division in the 10+2, PCL, or comparable program; and
- Completed the entire application process.
Admission Criteria
Written Test: The admission exam known as the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT), which is administered by the Faculty of Management, must be taken by eligible applicants. The test will be conducted according to international testing norms and guidelines. It covers things like Verbal ability, Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning, and General awareness.
The CMAT will consist of one hundred (100) objective questions, twenty-five (25) of which will be in each part and carry a total score of one hundred (100). For the CMAT, the student needs to receive at least a 40% score in order to be eligible for the interview.
Interview
Short-listed candidates will have scores in the CMAT above the cutoff. Interviews and selection for admission will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates.

Fee Structure
The Fee Structure of BBM varies between colleges. Normally, the constituent campuses of TU like Patan Multiple Campus, Birendar Multiple Campus, and a few others charge around 2.5-3 Lakhs. At the same time, the fee in private colleges is around 5 lakhs.

Salary Prospects
The salary depends upon your skill and experience. Just after your graduation, if you don’t have any experience, you will get a salary of around NPR 25,000 for a few months. After you have gained some experience, you can expect at least NPR 50,000 for at least 2-3 Years.
With 4-5 Years of experience in a certain field, BBM students can easily make over NPR 1 Lakhs if they utilize their skills properly.
